Murder Weapon - Knife - This is shown to be brutal, gorey and a scary deadly weapon.
Shovel - This could be used as a weapon too and to show the murderer burying the murder victims or body parts.
Dark Clothes for murderer - This gives the murderer a scary and sinister image with the viewer not being able to identify with the person murdering.
Casual clothes for the victims - This could be used to show the state of equilibrium and that everything was going ok until the murders began to happen.
Car - Could be used to show desperation trying to get away, the boot could be used to show death or people being held against there own will and could be used to attempt to murder somebody.
Torch - Used to show the characters cant see something, gives the viewer the feeling of being unaware of what is happening.

Planning - Locations
We have decided to use several different locations when filming are trailer to give the viewer a professional and common looking trailer.
Garage - This could be a potential place for a murder scene as it is normally dark, cold and seen as a eerie location.
House - This house could be used to show the viewer a state of equilibrium and then could be used as a potential location showing horror. This is typical of a 'White Picket Fence' stereotype of American horror film.
Street - Natural lighting, street lights would provide an urban setting which would provide the viewer with a more horrific view as it is close to home.
Field - Wide open landscape, tree and bushes which would allow actors to run through, could give the viewer and scary and vulnerable view of the characters running through trees. Could be used as a fake burial site for a murder victim.

Inglorious Magazine Cover
This is front cover for 'Empire' magazine which is showing the film 'Inglorious Basterds'.
The background colour of the magazine is a grey, gritty colour which could relate to the dark image the film carries and the violence which is used throughout the film. The word 'Inglorious' is written in red which is connotated as violent, revenge and blood which is represented in the film. The word is also one of the largest things on the page apart from the magazine name. Showing the importance of the film in relation to that issue of the magazine. This colour use helps reflect the genre of film it is.
The puffs around the magazine are coloured in white text this contrasts against the red and grey background still making what is in the magazine known to the viewer.
The poster may also show star theory with Brad Pitt being a big Hollywood star and he his name is capable of attracting people to see the film. On the image Brad Pitt is shown holding a large knife this image shows violence and aggression. I believe this because he is holding it in such a way as if he wants to hurt somebody with it.
Also on the image is the costume of what Brad Pitt is wearing in the film this may give the viewer an idea of what genre of film the magazine is trying to promote.

Inglorious Poster
This is the poster for Quentin Tarintino's 'Inglorious Basterds' which is set during the war time about a group of
American soldiers planning to assasinate the German political party.
The poster uses a prominent use of red this could be connotated to represent the violence that is used throughtout the film showing bloody and gorey action. Around the edges of this red its begins to splatter bits of red this gives me the impression this is meant to represent blood further emphasising my point of violence. Red is also a colour that can be related to revenge which is also part of the plot in 'Inglorious' with a main character seeking revenge on the German political party due to her familys death.
The lead characters are shown in the picture which i believe uses star theory with having Brad Pitt lead the images of actors. Characters shown on this poster are 3 of the American soldiers who are shown wearing army outfits and carrying a variety of weapons between them. Due to this i am lead to be believe that violence is large part of this film because the weapons arent traditional weapons seen in other war films. In the image there is a shotgun, a large machine gun and knife. These weapons seem to show brutality and destruction which leads me to believe the genre of the film is a violent action.
Behind the 3 American soldiers inside of the red are 3 other characters these include the Americans allie, the women seeking revenge and the German SS colonel. I am lead to think these may be placed in the red for different reasons. The SS colonel could be there due to his violent ways during the war, the women could be placed there to show her journey to seek revenge.
The title of the film is writting in bold, white capitals this contrasts well of the red and shows the title of the film clearly. The "O" in the word 'Inglorious' has been replaced with a swatstika this could be used for a few reasons one being that the film revolves around the destruction of the German Nazi party. Another reason this could be used is because the American soldiers cut swatstika's onto the foreheads of German soldiers.
On the right hand side of the poster is the cast list in film which is written in a mixture of black and red which could be used to contrast against the white background and should be effective because it has a strong cast for people all around the world.
Finally the release date of the film is clearly shown at the bottom in black, bold capitals to show the viewer when the film is available to be seen.
